Door-Knocking Follow-Up System

May 22, 2026 · 5 min read

A repeatable follow-up cadence for the four kinds of warm doors every rep meets.

Most deals die between the knock and the follow-up. A follow-up system means every warm door gets touched at the right time, with the right message.

The four warm-door types

  • Interested but not ready — needs warm pressure, not heat
  • Callback requested — needs a punctual call
  • Quote sent — needs a 48-hour check-in
  • Spouse decision — needs a family-hours revisit

The cadence

  1. Day 0 — log the door, set the next follow-up
  2. Day 1–2 — text or call based on what they asked for
  3. Day 3 — second touch if no reply
  4. Day 7 — final value-add touch
  5. Day 14 — move to long-tail nurture or archive

Make it automatic

In Territoryly, marking a lead Interested, Callback, Quote Sent, or Follow-Up prompts you to schedule the next touch. The Today list does the remembering for you.
